Wondering where guru is?
Well...unfortunately the current scenario is tempting me to knock off "guru" from the statement "Maatha, Pitha, Guru, Dheivam".
The number of psycho teachers punishing the student cases is increasing alarmingly in India.
There is not a single day without me (us) bumping in to atleast one such news of a teacher being gruesome to the students.
The punishment ranges from tonsuring the student's head to killing the innocent souls - (this extreme is not rare) :(
Such incidents make me believe that the real "taarae zameen par" stories may not be happening any more!
Still, i would like to hold on to my belief firmly... "Behind every one's sucess there is a good teacher"
Because, i owe my belief in myself to my 8th std class teacher - Miss.Revathy.
And i am sure, for all of you, there would have been one (atleast) teacher who gave you that belief.
But, what is happening currently is beyond our ability to swallow (forget digest!!!)
Such repeating "no-sense" incidents are becoming a nighmare to the parents as well.
Its high time, our education system "educate" teachers on how to deal with the students!
Else, these students will be like flowers in a monkey's hand!
Hai good subject to take on and a valuable comment on guru where guruthuvam now a days disappearing.but matha pithaa guru deivam can not be changed. even in matha and pitha we can read matha killing own kid and pithaa raping own blood.can we find 100% matha, pithaa taking care of their children? training cannot be given to matha, pitha and guru cannot be ommitted. but if we take more care criminal gurus can be reduced.
ReplyDeleteAgreed...but some fault must lie with the student also. After all it takes two hands to clap.
ReplyDeleteI think you mean "psycho" considering that "psychics" are those with extra prescience than others. But you haven't elaborated what made you broach the topic other than the random headline.. and what was special abt Ms Revathy? That would've added a kick to the discussion :)
ReplyDelete"Behind every one's sucess there is a good teacher" - these days the teacher mostly happens to be EXPERIENCE. Also, kids and parents need to ensure that schooling does not interfere with education.
ReplyDelete@ Amma - Yes dear.100% Agree with u :)
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous - Not always in such cases. But, even if the student has done some mistake, the punishment should be to make him/her realize it and not to be a painful memory for them their entire life.
@ Jaya - Thanks dear. Have corrected it. Regarding Ms. Revathy..its a gud suggestion. Will keep in mind :)
@ RR - Can't agree more !!!
Hi Veena. Agreed that students don't deserve a harsh punishment in most cases. What I meant when I said some fault must lie with the student also is...some students provoke teachers to such extremes that sometimes the punishment is warranted. For e.g. there are cases in India and abroad where students have assaulted teachers first and then suffered the consequences.
